I have written again about the fast motor drive of the Sony NEX 5N, which can be extremely useful in action scenes. You press the shutter and it shoots like a machine gun. Now, combine that with a manual focus lens and the super fast shutter response, and you can almost freeze time.
The following scene lasted about one second (at least that’s what the EXIF say), and the NEX managed to shoot seven frames, probably one of the best sequences I have ever done. The lens was the Mamiya Sekor-C 150mm f4. If you read my previous post, I found out that it’s difficult lens to nail focus, but in this case everything worked perfect !!
